Hey guys and gals, Chris_sez here with a little update and a little bit of promotions. Even though the blog has been out for a good 3 weeks, we are still in the process of getting everything set up. We now have a total of 5 authors. These people are people that Sam and I know; hence, we asked them to be part of this and they agreed to it. So for right now, we will not be taking request for more authors. Sam believes that 5 authors are enough and I'm going to go with it for now.
Now that the updates are done, it's time for promotions. These people all have YouTube accounts and they are well known throughout the internet. Some of these people you will know and others this will be the first time you'll hear about them. So without further ado, let's show you some awesome gamers!!!
First we have the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN). Many people know him for his vulgar actions and words against games. Well this works very well for the Nerd. He is the true definition of a retro gamer; especially for the games that are bad or "shitty". James Rolfe is a great reviewer. He gives his opinion on the game with no hold bar. Suspect him to be shitting on games at times and point out the annoying crap in games. Want proof? Just look at his
Silver Surfer review for the NES. He usually updates his
YouTube channel about 2 times for reviews. Now that it's October, the Nerd will be reviewing horror movies & games; thus, giving Halloween its very spooky feel. Don't forget to check him out on
ScrewAttack's website or
Cinemassacre. The AVGN: One Nerd you don't want to mess with.
Up next is
SomecallmeJohnny of the
SuperGamingBros. John "Johnny" Ortiz is a well rounded gamer; playing a multitude of games. The reviews he has made are informative to this day; he does this by throwing out information about the game and its past/origin. There is comedy in there. For example, him and his younger brother Elliot fought a possessed
Sonic hat,
Tails Doll, and even
Jigsaw himself. I forgot to mention his brother Elliot. When Johnny and Elliot combine their gaming intellect together, they are the Super Gaming Brothers (original isn't it?). The reviews are very well thought out since it's the amount of information given, the comedy, and the rants on the annoying things within the game. His reviews vary from Sonic the Hedgehog & Castlevania to Left for Dead & No More Heroes (1 & 2), so suspect him to review a lot of good and bad games. Also, check out there Let's Play channel (hyperlinked in text above). They do live commentary, so suspect no talking, random conversations and so much more. They do talk about the game that they're playing, so be prepared to get information on it.
Another reviewer that is great is the
IRATE Gamer. Chris Bores is also a good reviewer. A lot of the games are usually NES or SNES. If you want to see reviews for games on those consoles,
check out his YouTube channel. For his reviews, they do have story lines. The thing is that the story lines aren't really long (about 2-3 episodes). There is comedy in the reviews. He just doesn't review retro games; he does next-gen games as well. Those segments are called IG NEO. He does very well for all of his reviews; however, he gives more of his opinion on the next-gen reviews, and he says if it good enough to buy, rent or just not pick up. He also has a series called
History of Video Games. This is excellent and with lots of information. A very good reviewer that you should check out. Believe me, he's excellent, funny and informative. There are two more segments; they're called
I Rate the 80s & Haunted Investigators.
Finally we have
Rooster Teeth. The #1 topic they talk about is gaming. They've done a lot of things; examples can be Red VS Blue, Halo Reach Horse/Fails of the Week, Achievement Hunter and AHWU. They know their games and definitely something to check out. Can't really explain this because there is so much to go over with them. When I watched a Halo Reach Horse video, I was officially hooked. You'll be hooked to when you see their videos.
