The Year of Resident Evil

Samantha here, I am so excited for the upcoming games Capcom is coming out for Resident Evil this year.  I am totally excited for this upcoming year and can't wait to get every single last one of them.

First and foremost, Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield returns in Resident Evil: Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS. This video game explains what happens between Resident Evil 4 and 5. A new BSAA member, Parker Luciani, is also introduced. Jill and her new partner, Parker Luciani, is sent on an abandoned cruise ship in search of Chris Redfield, based on his last GPS coordinates. Sadly, I don't have a 3DS currently, but I do plan on buying it, just so I can play Resident Evil: Revelations (and other video games, of course).

Secondly, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is another video game to get excited over! This trailer is total bada**!! Honestly, I have no idea what's going on in this video, but I can't wait to play the game in order to figure it out. In this video game, one of our favorites return, Leon S. Kennedy. This video game takes place around the time of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The fascinating part of this game is that players can play two different roles. They can either play as the Umbrella Security Service (USS) members or the United States Special Operations force. The Umbrella Security Service is trying to destroy any evidence of Umbrella's illegal activities and anyone who survive, while the United States Special Operations Force is trying to expose the company. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City comes out in America, March 20th. The wait is already killing me!! It will be available for the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

Lastly, Resident Evil 6 is coming out November 20th (Just in time for Christmas and Black Friday). In this story, Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield returns in order to fight off even more zombies. The President decided to reveal the truth about the bioterrorist attacks, in high hopes that it will slowly dwindle down if the people knew of it. Sadly, the president transforms and Leon is left with the ultimate decision to kill him. On the other hand, Chris lands in China and tries to control the situation over there. The world is slowly being consumed with these attacks, which makes people start to wonder about the fate of humanity.

There's more!! I haven't heard much this year, but supposedly there is an animated movie coming out this year: Resident Evil Damnation. It features Leon S. Kennedy and it's in 3D!! Not only that, but the film makers are thinking about making a live action one too (I assume a live action version that's focus more on the video game characters).

Wow that is a lot of Resident Evil in a nutshell. Can't wait to play/see all of them. Gotta go finish playing Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep now.

Megaman X Review

Megaman X
5UP Gaming Reviews

Mega Man was in no rush to hurry to the SNES. While many popular franchises such as Super Mario tried to leap to the new Super Nintendo to further themselves from the original NES to re-establish themselves with sequels as soon as the Super Nintendo came around, Mega Man hung back. Capcom had decided to stick to the tried and true with Mega Man. Capcom released 3 more games of the Blue Bomber before calling it quits with the NES

Mega Man X finally launched for the SNES around two and a half years after the system's debut. This wasn't just another Mega Man game with better graphics and sleeker gameplay; it was a complete reinvention of the franchise.
Much like the original Megaman games on the NES, Mega Man X is an Action-Platformer. The X series is very similar to the Classic series. You start the game on a desolate highway instead of the infamous boss select screen. This was mainly to get used to the new mechanics of the game.

Update/Check These Guys Out If You Haven't

Hey guys and gals, Chris_sez here with a little update and a little bit of promotions. Even though the blog has been out for a good 3 weeks, we are still in the process of getting everything set up. We now have a total of 5 authors. These people are people that Sam and I know; hence, we asked them to be part of this and they agreed to it. So for right now, we will not be taking request for more authors. Sam believes that 5 authors are enough and I'm going to go with it for now.

Now that the updates are done, it's time for promotions. These people all have YouTube accounts and they are well known throughout the internet. Some of these people you will know and others this will be the first time you'll hear about them. So without further ado, let's show you some awesome gamers!!!

First we have the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN). Many people know him for his vulgar actions and words against games. Well this works very well for the Nerd. He is the true definition of a retro gamer; especially for the games that are bad or "shitty". James Rolfe is a great reviewer. He gives his opinion on the game with no hold bar. Suspect him to be shitting on games at times and point out the annoying crap in games. Want proof? Just look at his Silver Surfer review for the NES. He usually updates his YouTube channel about 2 times for reviews. Now that it's October, the Nerd will be reviewing horror movies & games; thus, giving Halloween its very spooky feel. Don't forget to check him out on ScrewAttack's website or Cinemassacre. The AVGN: One Nerd you don't want to mess with.
